Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin Box Set
$60.33 (was $95) | Limited-time deal
With the festive season kicking off, now is the perfect time to grab a cool gift for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan in your life. The franchise is as popular as ever, and one great gift idea is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin Box Set. This graphic novel collection launched last month and was originally priced at $95, but you can grab it right now for $60.33 from Amazon. This is a limited-time deal, so grab it while you can.
This box set includes both The Last Ronin, the sequel series The Last Ronin 2: Re-Evolution, and the prequel series The Lost Years. They've all been packaged in a slipcase cover featuring new art, and the set is 664 pages in total.
The Last Ronin is set in a post-apocalyptic future where all but one of the Ninja Turtles has died. The lone survivor of the group embarks on one final mission amidst the ruins of Manhattan, seeking justice for the family he lost. The mini-series reveals what happened to New York's favorite mutants, and how the world became a post-apocalyptic nightmare in the process.
The Last Ronin 2: Re-Evolution is set 10 years later and follows the exploits of the next generation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as they work to save New York from warring gangs. Finally, The Lost Years reveals secrets about the Last Ronin's final battle and how the successors to the Ninja Turtles were raised by Casey Marie Jones, the daughter of New York's infamous vigilante Casey Jones.
While the box set is a nice way to get the entire Last Ronin saga in one unified collection, it's also more expensive than buying the graphic novels individually. If you don't mind losing out on the slipcase, you can save almost $15 by buying the three graphic novels on their own. You can also use those savings to buy The Last Ronin: The Covers, which is on sale for $16.27 (Was $35). This 200-page hardcover book features an all-star lineup of artists and collects the variant covers for the series and its sequels. Some of the big names here include Freddie E. Williams II, Peach Momoko, Tyler Kirkham, Amanda Conner, Rob Liefeld, Simon Bisley, Stan Sakai, and many more.
There's also a Director's Cut of The Last Ronin for $24 (Was $50). This version of the mini-series includes the full story and over 75 pages of character designs, concept art, and sketches, as well as excerpts from the original draft idea developed decades ago by TMNT co-creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird.
This year also marked the 35th anniversary of the first live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. The official tie-in comic book for the film has been reprinted, and you can pick this anniversary edition up for just $18.63 (was $20). Written by the TMNT creators and illustrated by Jim Lawson back in 1990, this 136-page paperback has also been updated for 2025. It comes with the film adaptation, the colors have been completely overhauled, Eastman's rough page layouts, and original placement notes for the Archie Comics edition. The series would feature new scenes when it was later reprinted for Mirage Comics, and these have been included in this edition.
Several scenes that were shot but cut from the film were added to the comic book, including the Shredder punishing his Foot soldiers, an extended training sequence on the farm, and a different ending.
As for the landmark movie, you can pick it up--and its two sequels--on 4K Blu-ray later this month. The new release from Arrow Video comes with a Technodrome-sized collection of extra content, and the 4K Blu-ray edition of the original 1990 movie has been restored from the original 35mm camera negative. The sequels were restored from the original 35mm interpositives, and each film supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. Preorders for the Limited Edition were initially set at $100, but you can pick this up for $58 ahead of its release on December 16. As a bonus, you'll also get a few collectibles and premium packaging for this release.
