Zelda-themed items have arrived in New Horizons' 3.0 update, but you need to use Amiibo to unlock them. Here's how. Animal Crossing: New Horizons' big 3.0 update has introduced a wealth of new content to life sim, including a slew of new items to collect. Along with a set of Lego furniture, you can now get clothing and other items based on Nintendo's Legend of Zelda series--but they won't be available right away. Unlike the Super Mario crossover items, the new Zelda furniture is tied to certain Amiibo. The same is true for select Splatoon Amiibo. You'll need to have a compatible figure before you can get your hands on the items in the game. Fortunately, it's an easy process. Here's a rundown on how to unlock the Zelda furniture. If you're just getting started--or are just returning to your island after a long hiatus--then be sure to check out our Animal Crossing: New Horizons guide hub for more helpful guides. Want us to remember this setting for all your devices? Now Playing: How To Prepare For Animal Crossing 3.0 Much like the Sanrio furniture that was added as part of the game's 1.9.0 update, the new line of Zelda furniture is locked behind Amiibo. Fortunately, every Zelda Amiibo released so far is compatible with the game, and you only need one of them to unlock the entire set. Once you've got a Zelda Amiibo handy, head over to the Resident Services building and use the Nook Stop terminal. Select Invite a Camper from the list of options and scan the figure when prompted. If you're unable to invite a camper because one is already visiting your campsite, you can instead head to the Roost on the second floor of the museum and use the Amiibo phone to invite the character to the cafe. After you've scanned the figure, the Zelda furniture will automatically become available to purchase through the Nook Shopping service, which you can access either via the Nook Stop terminal or the Nook Shopping app on your Nook Phone. The entire set of furniture will be listed under the Promotional tab, where you can also find the aforementioned Sanrio items (if you've unlocked them) as well as the newly added Lego furniture. The 3.0 update has added 28 Zelda-themed items in total, ranging from decorations to clothing, wallpaper, and other accessories. You can see the full list below: New Horizons is compatible with every Zelda Amiibo released to date. In addition to unlocking Zelda furniture, you can use the figures to invite two new Zelda-inspired villagers to your island: Tulin and Mineru from Tears of the Kingdom. You can see which figures invite each character below: There's a ton of other content in the 3.0 update, including a new hotel where you can decorate rooms and earn Hotel Tickets to purchase exclusive items.
