While we wait for potential remasters of Fallout 3, 4, and New Vegas, Bethesda's other sci-fi RPG, Starfield, appears to be on the way for the PlayStation 5. Leaked product listings show two versions of the spacefaring adventure, both apparently due to arrive in April.
The report originates from Polish outlet PPE, where it's stated a Starfield port is in the works for release on PS5 on April 7. This same outlet accurately reported when Microsoft Flight Simulator's PS5 port would arrive, and Oblivion: Remastered physical copies, but got it wrong with a claim GTA 6, so, take it with a grain of salt. However the inclusion of product information for regular and premium editions of Starfield on Sony's latest system adds weight.
Info shows the two versions listed for release, with both product numbers and the EAN (European Article Number). The latter is a code used to monitor stock levels as copies are distributed to retailers, whereas the former is usually more for internal use within a given outlet.

Should this come to fruition, it'd line up with previous rumors that Bethesda was eying up spring of this year, to coincide with the second chunk of DLC. Another expansion hasn't been revealed yet, but as we're now a year-and-a-half out from Shattered Space, news seems overdue.
The game's been on Xbox Series X/S and PC since launching in September 2023, and it's always seemed a likely candidate to be added to the Sony catalog when Microsoft started humoring ports. When we live in a world where Halo isn't even a console exclusive any more, all bets are off.
Hearsay has swirled here and there over the last couple of years. Could this finally be the time? Expectations will be high for the next State of Play, as if Bethesda needed any more scrutiny right now.
Skyrim lead thinks Starfield "would be talked about like the second coming" if a new studio made it, but "expectations were so much higher" with Bethesda.
