Battlefield 6's first season will begin on October 28, and the developer has released a Season 1 trailer to showcase the game's new content. Season 1 is packed with new game modes, guns, vehicles, and more maps, with one of the new locations adding golf carts for players to drive into combat across a suburban landscape.
The Season 1 trailer kicks off by showing Battlefield 6's new Blackwell Fields map, which is a massive oil field in California. Like other big maps, players will have access to helicopters, planes, and tanks to cause massive destruction. Blackwell Fields will be the first map to arrive in Season 1, and it also introduces the game's new vehicle called Traverser Mark 2. Blackwell Fields also arrives with three guns: the SOR-300SC carbine, the GGH-22 sidearm, and the Mini Scout sniper rifle.

Season 1 also includes a surprising new vehicle for Battlefield 6. The Eastwood map takes place in suburban California, with players fighting through homes, across pools, and even on a golf course. Given the location, Eastwood offers plenty of drivable golf carts that players can use to traverse the battlefield. You can see some golf cart shenanigans and 10 minutes of Battlefield 6 Season 1 gameplay in the video above.
Of course, don't expect all of the Season 1 content to drop this month. Battlefield 6 Season 1 is scheduled to release in three phases: Rogue Ops, California Resistance, and Winter Offensive. Each phase adds a new map, weapon, and other items. Make sure to check out Battlefield 6's full Season 1 roadmap and details.
Most recently, an update was made to Battlefield 6 to patch out the XP bot farms found in the game's Portal mode. Battlefield 6 sold more than 7 million copies in its first week, making it the biggest launch of any game in the long-running franchise.
