Join the American Red Cross and Pac-Man to celebrate 45 years of gaming fun by donating blood November 17–December 7, 2025, and score exclusive rewards while helping save lives. The American Red Cross is teaming up with Pac-Man to celebrate the iconic game's 45th anniversary with a lifesaving mission: to find blood donors. You can schedule an appointment to donate blood, platelets, or AB Elite plasma today for patients who rely on blood transfusions during emergencies, treatments, and surgeries, to receive some official merch from this collaboration. From November 17 through December 7, all who come to donate will receive exclusive Red Cross x Pac-Man socks and a limited-edition Pac-Man capsule toy, while supplies last. This campaign comes at a crucial time, as donor turnout has declined and the need for blood remains high during the holidays. Every donation helps ensure hospitals have enough for accident victims, cancer patients, and others in need. "The Red Cross is facing a decline in donor turnout at a time when making and keeping appointments is critical to providing lifesaving blood products for patients during the holidays," Red Cross spokesman Danny Parra said in a statement. "We are urging everyone who may be eligible to roll up a sleeve to ensure that there’s enough blood on the shelves for those who need it... everyone from accident and burn victims to those receiving treatment for cancer, sickle cell disease, and other serious illnesses." As a bonus, all successful blood donors in November will also receive a free A1C test, which is a common screening used to detect diabetes and prediabetes. Alongside the Red Cross, Pac-Man's 45th anniversary was recently celebrated by Google for its Halloween Google Doodle, and the release of Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac back in September, which had a slew of new features.
