Jason Isaacs joins the cast. Prime Video's Tomb Raider TV series continues to add to its cast, with a new report saying Jason Isaacs will star in the show. Deadline reported that the Emmy-nominated actor will appear in the show, but his role is unknown at this point, as is the larger story for the series. Isaacs is a veteran actor perhaps best known for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movie series. He's also had roles in the movies The Patriot, Black Hawk Down, Peter Pan, and Fury. British actor Martin Bobb-Semple will appear in the show, too, in an unspecified series regular role. As announced previously, Fleabag's Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the creator, writer, and executive producer for the series, with Chad Hodge (Single All the Way, Wayward Pines) joining as co-showrunner and executive producer. Shogun director Jonathan van Tulleken has also come aboard as executive producer and director. Waller-Bridge said in a statement, "Everyone on board is wildly passionate about Lara and are all as outrageous, brave, and hilarious as she is. Get your artifacts out ... Croft is coming ..." Before Turner, the actors Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander brought the character Lara Croft to life in film. For her part, Turner said she is "thrilled beyond measure" to play Croft. As for the game series, The Game Awards brought news of two new Tomb Raider games, including a remake of the 1996 game called Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis coming in 2026 and a new game called Tomb Raider: Catalyst in 2027. These games will feature Alix Wilton Regan in the role of Lara Croft, taking over for Camilla Luddington.
