The game has been ported to numerous consoles since its 2011 release, and next year, it's getting an official Switch 2 edition. The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ Switch 2 edition will be a $70 version of the game that includes all DLC and expansion content released for the game so far. While there's no specific launch date aside from 2026, preorders for The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ Switch 2 edition are already live at Amazon and Walmart. While you can play the original Switch version of The Binding of Isaac on Switch 2 via backwards compatibility, The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ is a Switch 2-speicifc release that includes all of the expansion content released for The Binding of Isaac since 2011, as well as various enhancements for Switch 2 like updated visuals, improved performance, plus online features like multiplayer for all game modes, leaderboards, and search filters for online matches. Best of all, the physical cartridge includes the full game data. This is not a Game Key-Card release--thankfully. Physical preorders are available for $70 at Amazon and Walmart. No preorder bonuses have been announced. If you're looking for more physical Switch 2 editions of indie games, Order Up!! is also getting a Switch 2 release next year--and like Binding of Isaac, it includes the full game on the cartridge. Order Up!! is a very different game from The Binding of Isaac, as the game tasks you with running a restaurant, keeping your kitchen stocked, and learning new "Chef's Special" meals that can be used to lure in customers. The main goals of the game are to discover the secrets of the mysterious Masked Judge, defeat the reigning Fortified Chef, and win the coveted Golden Spatula. The physical Switch 2 edition launches for $50 on June 30, 2026, and preorders are live at Walmart. Preorders are also listed at Amazon, but it's currently sold out at the time of posting. The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ and Order Up!! are scheduled for a 2026 release, but several big Switch 2 games are planned to launch throughout the final weeks of 2025. This month's big releases include Kirby Air Riders and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, and December will see the launch of the long-in-development Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.
