Pokemon Legends: Z-A + Pokemon TCG Unova Poster Collection Bundle
Switch 2: $84 | Switch: $75
Walmart is offering a limited-time deal that bundles the Pokemon TCG Unova Poster Collection with a copy of the recently release Pokemon Legends: Z-A on either Nintendo Switch or Switch 2. The Switch 2 version of the bundle costs $84, while the original Switch version is just $75. Considering the Pokemon TCG Unova Poster Collection normally costs $40 and Pokemon Legends: Z-A is $70 on Switch 2 and $60 on Switch, you're saving at least $25 with this bundle deal. Pokemon Legends: Z-A includes a physical copy of the game--with the full game data on the cartridges--while the Pokemon TCG Unova Poster Collection comes with several foil cards, booster packs, and a double-sided poster. We expect this will be a very popular deal, so grab it while it's still in stock.
The main difference between the Switch 2 and Switch editions of the bundle is which version of Pokemon Legends: Z-A you get. The Switch 2 copy is slightly more expensive, but if you're playing on Nintendo's latest console, that's the version to get. It offers higher resolution and smoother gameplay performance than the original Switch version--though if you're still on the original Switch hardware, you're at least saving a few dollars.
While Pokemon Legends: Z-A is earning great reviews, the TCG half of this bundle might be the most exciting. Both bundles include the Pokemon TCG Unova Poster Collection, which has 47 total cards, including three foil cards, and a double-sided poster. Here's everything in the Pokemon TCG Unova Poster Collection:
Our Pokemon Legends: Z-A review said it "successfully translates its iconic battle system to real-time," and that the new Megas really help show off how impressive the new system is.
"Where Pokemon Legends: Z-A's combat really comes together is during the Rogue Mega Evolution battles," wrote critic Jake Dekker. "These are boss fights that require you to chip away at a massive Mega Evolved Pokemon's health bar while dodging area-of-effect attacks. Unlike most battles, victory isn't guaranteed by launching super-effective attacks and overleveling your Pokemon. You need to strategically Mega Evolve your Pokemon, while managing your Pokemon's health and your own, as these battles also allow you to take damage. Just because you're safe from a huge attack, it doesn't mean your Pokemon is and vice versa. Success requires quick thinking, strategic movement, and issuing attacks at the right time."
