The passage of time continues unabated, as Palworld is now two years old. While Pocketpair isn't able to mark the occasion with the release of 1.0, we do get a little teaser of some upcoming Pals, including one particularly large addition. The video is guided by John "Bucky" Buckley, the head of publishing and communications at Pocketpair. "We're hard at work on Palworld 1.0, which is shaping up to be our biggest update ever," he says in the video, before revealing we aren't getting any major reveals here. However, we are treated to a peek at the critters that'll be arriving when this version comes out. There's a creature whose body resembles a red water lily, a little dog with a fluffy lion's mane, and a bird whose head has a fur lining. They are all extremely adorable. Palworld lead gently reminds players the next update is not "massive," since "mammoth sized 1.0" is still a long way off: "I think you've misunderstood" Palworld's Home Sweet Home update "won't be as content-heavy," but it will make the 1.0 launch "the best ever" Palworld dev tells haters to "use your time better" following criticism over card game announcement Then, we jump to Takuro Mizobe, the CEO of Pocketpair, for a quick message. "We are fully committed to development," he adds, complemented by concept art, "and we will do everything we can to meet expectations, and we truly appreciate your continued encouragement." Bucky steps back in for the send-off. It's the standard goodbye, asking fans to stay in touch through social media and Discord before we get a sneaky little 'one more thing.' I say little, it's actually a massive whale, who's swimming in the air toward a gigantic glowing tree. What a whimsical way to finish. Palworld 1.0 will arrive this year, and with the official TCG coming this summer, it's going to be a big 12 months for Pocketpair. As Palworld fails to escape Pokemon comparisons following new card game announcement, one dev agrees some folks are being a bit dramatic
