It's starting to look like a port of No Rest for the Wicked on Switch 2 is coming together. A pretty big hint was provided by one of the action-RPG's lead devs, who gave an update on how it's going in just about the most direct way possible. Thomas Mahler, creative director of No Rest for the Wicked and CEO of developer Moon Studios, shared a now-deleted clip on Twitter of the game running on Nintendo's latest console, since reposted on Reddit. This isn't a mere screen capture, but actual candid footage of him playing a live version on the Switch 2. You can see his workstation in the background and all, complete with laptop, PC and other tech his Switch 2 is connected to. Then he does some exploring and engages in a sliver of combat, just giving a snippet of how well it's currently running. Upcoming Switch 2 games: New Nintendo Switch 2 games for 2026 and beyond Roguelike legend says Nintendo Switch 2 "seems like the front runner" for a Mewgenics console port No Rest for the Wicked is the number 1 game on Steam right now thanks to the new co-op update Quite well, it turns out. A Switch 2 version has been discussed by Mahler before, in July 2025, where said PlayStation 5 is the main priority on console because it "makes the most sense." At that time, Moon Studios wanted to bring the project to all platforms, but perhaps not all at once. Oddly enough, it's the Xbox Series X/S that had the biggest question mark as of last summer. "We'll have to discuss things with Microsoft to see what makes sense," Mahler said on Discord at the time, though Xbox is listed in No Rest for the Wicked's social channels. In the months since, it appears Switch 2 is gaining internal momentum, and we might hear something soon, going by this most recent video. No Rest for the Wicked arrived on Steam Early Access in April 2024. Reviews and feedback have been strong since, with over 57,000 reviews at an 80% positive rating on Steam thus far. We'll have to see where the game goes from here, but a Switch 2 port is a step in the right direction. No Rest for the Wicked director and Ori studio founder says you can "kick me in the balls" if you ever find a battle pass or microtransactions in a Moon Studios game "as a reminder to not join the dark side"
