The Up House is recommended for kids ages 9 and up, but just like the wonderful 2009 animated movie, parents might appreciate this "playset" even more than their kids. Despite releasing in 2023, Lego's Up House remains one of the most popular Disney Lego sets at major retailers each month. It has received similarly large discounts during previous Black Friday and Prime Day sales, and retailers almost always run out of units before the promotion officially ends. The only Pixar Lego set that has outsold the Up House on Amazon recently is WALL-E and EVE. The new 811-piece set hasn't received any price cuts yet, but Walmart has a 2-in-1 bundle with the Up House and WALL-E and EVE for $95 (was $130). This colorful 598-piece Lego set brings to life the home of Carl Fredricksen, otherwise known as the most lovable grouch to appear in an animated movie. Minifigure Carl looks appropriately grumpy, while minifigure Russell is very happy, as to be expected from the intrepid Wilderness Explorer. You also get a Lego animal figure of the very good boy Doug. It's worth noting that the house itself isn't fully enclosed. From the front, it looks impressively close to the Fredricksen home, matching the colors, window layout, porch design, roof pitch, and rooster weather vane. Naturally, it also has a colorful bundle of brick-built balloons. The back of the house is unfinished, providing access to four different rooms, each of which has decorations pulled from the movie. You'll find Carl's old television, his record player, a replica of Carl and Ellie's wedding picture, and the Paradise Falls glass jar the couple stored their vacation savings in. Yes, just like the movie, Lego's Up House has small moments that could make adult builders a bit weepy. As mentioned, you can bundle the Up House with the new Lego WALL-E set for $95. WALL-E and EVE is a $70 set, so you're spending $25 to add the Up House.
