We've got a cryptic teaser for a new game at The Golden Joysticks that promises plenty of vehicular combat and dystopian vibes, but you'll have to wait and see what it's all about. Between all the award winners on the night, we've got a peek at several games that are on the horizon, including one that seems to have all the makings of a brutally good time. You've got teases of futuristic, dystopian vibes with a good pinch of sci-fi thrown in, all tossed against some vehicular combat that's bad news if you're behind the wheel. Between the flashes of gameplay and cutscenes, we've got the current teaser to go with for now – "all drivers must die." Lovely stuff. If you're looking to tide yourself over, there's also a website of the same name that features some teasers. If in doubt, an FAQ confirms that 'drivers must die' isn't actually the name of the game. That will come alongside the full reveal on December 4, but it certainly conveys the vibe. Elsewhere, you've got other bits of flavor. Why would another driver want you dead? "What better way is there to guarantee they finish first?" Does that mean you have to give in to the violence? "You can do whatever you want. Rules are for the old world. Pacifists don’t survive long, though." Noted. Elsewhere in the FAQ, you've got other hints that point to winning a race by any means necessary. We're told that the benefit of winning such a race is that "it means you're not dead yet." Also, if you're wondering how other drivers can be taken down, it looks like you'll have plenty of options. "This apocalypse is your playground. From smashing and crashing to booming and blasting, deal death in any way you see fit." As I say, lovely. For now, the mystery lingers, though we won't be waiting long to see more. December 4 is mere weeks away. Check out our list of all the new games of 2025 and beyond to see what else you have to look forward to.
