The Amazon-exclusive 128GB bundle is on sale for $250, while the 256GB with Batman: Arkham Shadow is $70 off. Meta Quest 3S 128GB: Gorilla Tag Bundle $250 (was $300) | Amazon Exclusive Meta Quest 3S 256GB + Batman: Arkham Shadow Amazon's early Black Friday gaming deals include discounts on two Meta Quest 3S headset bundles. The entry-level 128GB bundle is on sale for $50 off, dropping the price to $250. This particular Quest 3 128GB model is exclusive to Amazon and includes in-game content for a popular multiplayer game. Amazon is also offering a steep discount on the Quest 3 256GB Batman Bundle. Normally $400, the headset with Batman: Arkham Shadow ($50 value) is available for $329. Unfortunately, the Black Friday Doorbuster deal at Best Buy expired over the weekend. That deal, which was matched by Amazon, included the current discounts as well as $50 store credit. The Amazon-exclusive Quest 3 Cardboard Hero Bundle comes with $45 worth of in-game content for Gorilla Tag, a popular free-to-play online game starring gorillas without legs who love playing variations of tag. You'll get 1,000 shiny rocks as well as the Handiwork Helmet and Armor. If you've never subscribed to Meta Horizon+, you'll also get three free months of the Game Pass-esque service. In addition to granting access to a rotating library of games, subscribers get two free games each month, and the freebies remain in your library even if you cancel your subscription. Batman: Arkham Shadow is an impressive action-adventure game that faithfully recreates the experience of being the Caped Crusader in VR. It's exclusive to Quest 3 and 3S headsets and is one of the showpiece games on the platform. As mentioned, the $329 price matches the Prime Big Deal Days offer, but the $50 gift card promotion has expired. Amazon now lists an "Xbox Game Pass New Users Bonus" freebie, but it's not entirely clear what this entails. New Quest owners can also get a three-month free trial to Meta Horizon+. The subscription service typically costs $8/month and features a rotating library of games to play--similar to Game Pass--as well as two games to claim each month. The freebies remain in your library even if you cancel your subscription, so new Quest users are getting seven free games over the next three months. The Quest 3S is a lightweight, standalone VR headset that comes with two wireless Touch Plus controllers. It's strong enough to play a wide range of impressive VR games directly on the headset's internal hardware, including showpiece titles like Batman: Arkham Shadow, Asgard's Wrath 2, and Assassin's Creed Nexus. For VR games like Half Life: Alyx that are beyond its built-in capabilities, the Quest 3S can be synced to wirelessly to a gaming PC or with a compatible link cable. You can also cloud stream games and use the headset as a wearable projector to watch movies and TV shows. Meta's entry-level VR headset is a modified version of the more powerful and expensive Quest 3. Both models have 8GB RAM and use the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 chipset, which is a noticeable leap forward from the Quest 2. Outside of storage differences--the Quest 3 has 512GB--the internals are the same. Both versions come bundled with the wireless Touch Plus controllers, too. The Quest 3 has more advanced lenses, which results in a larger, clearer image. That said, the Quest 3S still looks great and can play the same games, and it even has slightly better battery life (2.5 hours).
