The Switch 2 racer's ver. 1.4.0 patch makes a long list of bug fixes and other improvements. Nintendo has rolled out another new update for Mario Kart World. This patch brings the Switch 2 racing game up to version 1.4.0 and includes a swath of quality-of-life improvements and other adjustments. Among the numerous tweaks, Nintendo has added a "Custom Items" rule to the game, allowing you to adjust which items appear during a round. The company has also changed it so that every race heading toward Koopa Troopa Beach will now require you to complete two laps after reaching the course. Beyond that, Nintendo has added an option to open Photo Mode while competing against a ghost in Time Trials. When paused, the game will also now display the name of the current music track as well as the title the track was originally taken from. The version 1.3.0 update, which arrived back in September, made a number of quality-of-life improvements to Free Roam mode, making it easier to track which P Switches and Peach Medallions you've collected, among other changes.
