Though voice actor Eman Ayaz has seemingly spent the last three years on the cast of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake, she learned Ubisoft canceled the game the same way you did: online. "My brother reached out to me on WhatsApp and sent a text asking if I was OK," she says. "And I was like, 'Yeah, I'm OK. Why wouldn't I be OK?' And he sends me a link to an article, and that's where I read that it has been shelved forever." Since the remake's cancellation, Ayaz says she "can't publicly attach my name to it," though she stresses "it brought out what I honestly believe is the best performance of my career." "Don't assume that, because something was shelved, it didn't matter," she concludes. "At this stage, this remains a proposal, and no decision will be final until a collective agreement is reached with employee representatives and validated by French authorities," Ubisoft says in a statement.
