Hytale has its first hotfix within the first day of release to stop eyebrows from crashing the game and to let Norwegian players actually get into the game. Thankfully, with the expectation of a messy launch, the Hytale devs are on top of things, with the game receiving its first hotfix soon after launch. The developers detailed the fixes in a post on the Hytale website. These include authentication issues and "general stability improvements," but there are also some highly specific issues. For example, the developers "Fixed a crash that could occur when selecting certain hair styles followed by eyebrows in character creation," as well as a crash that would occur when taking screenshots and another when using buckets. Notably, Norwegian players were unable to launch Hytale entirely; the developers highlighted this, saying, "Fixed an issue preventing our Norwegian friends from launching the game." Hytale devs warn "launch week will be bumpy, but we'll get everyone in" Hytale roadmap "isn't completely pre-planned," but friend lists and proximity chat are already in development Hytale is "coming together at last" according to dev, who says 60 playtesters have just given the Minecraft-inspired game their stamp of approval: "Long way to go but momentum is key" After a lengthy development, including a sale to Riot Games, a development reboot, a cancellation, and a revival, Hytale finally released this week. However, since the game was acquired by Hypixel founder Simon Collins-Laflamme, he's had the unique marketing strategy of warning players that the game is going to be a mess. Given that the team expected "over 1 million players" on launch day – which presumably was eclipsed given that Collins-Laflamme said, "We are seeing a VERY HIGH rate of new Hytale players" implying the actual number was a surprise – expecting some issues was probably a smart move. Hytale roadmap "isn't completely pre-planned," but friend lists and proximity chat are already in development
