To get a megaphone, you'll need to visit Nook's Cranny and interact with the shop cabinet. The item can be purchased here for 3,500 Bells. The megaphone is not found in the shop for the Switch 1 version of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It's also worth noting that you don't have to start over if you've upgraded to the new Switch 2 edition of the game. Check out our full on how to move your Animal Crossing save to Switch 2, with the island transfer tool, which is a free download in the Nintendo eShop. Once you've purchased your megaphone, you'll just need to select it from your inventory to equip it. With the megaphone in hand, press and hold the A button to use it. Call out a resident's name while you're holding A with the megaphone. This lets the Switch 2's built-in microphone use your voice, and the resident will respond to you. The dialogue box provided for the resident will reveal their direction. Follow the dialogue box on your screen to easily locate the resident, who may otherwise have been difficult to find. The feature should also include visitors who roam around your island, like Resetti, who now offers a cleaning service for your island with the 3.0 update.
