Players who already own Hollow Knight on Nintendo Switch will get the Switch 2 edition for free. Despite Silksong's highly successful launch in September, Team Cherry hasn't forgotten about the game that started it all. The indie studio has announced that Hollow Knight will be getting a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition in 2026, with a performance update also inbound for all other platforms. Team Cherry says the Hollow Knight update will be similar to the upgrade that Silksong received in its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition: high frame rate modes, options for higher resolutions, and other graphical upgrades. Also similar to Silksong, all players who already own the Nintendo Switch version of Hollow Knight will get the Switch 2 Edition for free when it launches.
