Grand Theft Auto Online players are going to live the high life in the game's latest update, A Safehouse in the Hills. For the first time, the game is letting users purchase one of three luxury estates in and around Los Santos and all of the amenities that come with them. It arrives alongside the new Grand Theft Auto 5 Title Update 1.72, the full patch notes for which you can see below. Each of the three mansions--The Richman Villa, Tongva Estate, and Vinewood Residence--have their own perks and visual identities. But all of the mansions come with a fast-travel ability that lets players go from the lap of luxury to any of their other properties in the city without the hassle of driving. But when the need for travel arises, there's a 20-car garage with ample space for personal vehicles as well as a private rooftop helipad that comes with a Volatus helicopter. For a temporary boost in stats, players can use the gym equipment or yoga area. But the swimming pool and hot tub are strictly for leisure. Players can even get their own dogs or cats and let them enjoy the amenities of a comfortable kennel and bed, respectively. The interior of the mansion can be customized to include trophy cabinets that display your achievements, an armory, an arcade, and a vehicle workshop. Being flush with money also allows players to beef up their security team to prevent raids on the businesses they own. If you're looking for a new ride, the following vesicles have been added with this update: Pfister X-treme (Super), Übermacht Sentinel XS4 (Sedan), and the Grotti GT750 (Sports Classic). But living that lifestyle gets expensive, so you may want the $400,000 bonus for completing the new mission, KnoWay Out. In it, players will attempt to help Avi Schwartzman sabotage a self-driving car start-up company. Players will also be able to design their own missions with the Rockstar Mission Creator. There will also be a new Getaway Driver random event, four new Emotes, and Missile Lock-On Jammer. More missions, cars, and seasonal Adversary Modes will be added in the future. For now, the latest GTA+ benefits include early access to the Vapid FMJ MK V, the ability to add Hao's Special Works, Benny's, Drift Tuning, and Missile Lock-On Jammer capability to vehicles from a mansion's Vehicle Workshop, half off HSW Upgrades, and the ability to remotely give assignments to Hangar, Warehouse, and Bail Office Staff from The Vinewood Club App. Once players settle into their new homes, Grand Theft Auto 5 protagonist Michael De Santa and his wife, Amanda, will introduce themselves as their new neighbors.
