Following its latest delay, the new GTA 6 release date of November 19, 2026 will surely, definitely stick this time, Rockstar owner Take-Two suggests in a new financial release revealing that "launch marketing" for the anticipated game will begin this summer.
Per IGN, Take-Two's latest financial report packaging quietly heads off concerns around another GTA 6 delay.
"Our execution throughout Fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary and we are highly confident as we approach Fiscal 2027 – which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry – led by the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this Summer," a release reads.
GTA 6 delayed 6 more months as Rockstar commits to November 2026 and says “sorry”
After another GTA 6 delay he called unlikely, Take-Two CEO says "bad things happen" when games are rushed and breaks out his favorite phrase: "I'm highly confident on the new date"
GTA 6 reportedly might not be "content complete," but the November launch date still feels "more real" than before
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told IGN, "I feel good about it. Very good about it."
Zelnick has, of course, felt good about GTA 6 before. At this point, 'play it again' is a mantra for Take-Two financial reports. But this time he's extra confident, it seems.
"Any time you're getting closer to marketing beats, you're obviously in a place where your confidence level is as high as it can be," the CEO added.
In 2026, in the absence of new information or official details, conversations around GTA 6 and Rockstar have been dominated by odd situations. Most importantly, an ongoing legal battle will determine the fate of dozens of GTA 6 devs fired over allegedly leaking critical information, though a labor group calls it union busting.
Meanwhile, a boiler audibly exploded at Rockstar HQ last month. "Many thanks to those that reached out with concern," a Rockstar spokesperson said.
Terminally ill GTA 6 fan with 6-12 months to live has seemingly been put in touch with Rockstar about playing the game early.
