These range from the Barbarian's "rage" mechanic to the spell-slots system for magic-users, and it definitely puts D&D veterans at something of an advantage. "I'm surprised that it actually worked out that well," Vincke added. "I think when you see what we can do when we make something for a video game that's not derived from a tabletop it's going to be a lot better." That does, of course, mean those with D&D experience could find themselves effectively on the same level of everyone else when it comes to learning Divinity's mechanics, but we'll just have to wait and see what Larian cooks up. Divinity doesn't yet have a release date, but the game will be connected--in some way--to previous Divinity-series titles from Larian.
